Lumby Passes 2017 Audit

Auditors have given Lumby Council a thumbs up for the village’s 2017 financial statements.
Councillor Nick Hodge says expenses doubled last year.
“Expenses went from just under three million dollars in 2016 to just over six million dollars, mostly because of the flooding last year. But we still ended up with a small surplus.”
He says they were able to do that by amending the budget during the middle of the year to avoid a large deficit.
