Candidates Finalized For By-Election

Five candidates are running in the Kelowna West by-election on Feb 14.

Nominations closed at 1 pm today.

The candidates are Shelley Cook of the NDP, Libertarian Kyle Geronazzo, Ben Stewart of the Liberals, Robert Stupka of the  Green Party, and Conservative Mark Thompson.

The winner will fill the seat formerly held by Christy Clark who resigned last August.

Residents of the Kelowna West electoral district are eligible to vote in the by-election if they are 18 or older on February 14, 2018, a Canadian citizen, and a resident of British Columbia for the past six months.

General Voting Day is Wednesday, February 14.

Advance voting will be available from Tuesday, February 6 to Sunday, February 11.

Eligible voters can also vote at the Kelowna West district electoral office from now until 4 p.m. on February 14, or by mail.
