Students of WL Seaton have regained bragging rights on members of the RCMP after their second annual friendly game of dodgeball.

The event is a way for the police to connect with students and raise money for the food bank.

The students took 3 out of the 5 games before packed lunch hour crowd at the school.

Cst. Don Gunn, an organizer,  says everyone has a good time, and the students get a real kick out of blasting the balls at them as hard as they can.

“Even maybe an occasional ball to the face for the officers, which they get a chuckle out of,” says Gunn.

Gunn encourages other schools and students to reach out to their School Liaison Officer to arrange fun activities with the RCMP.

“It was such a fun event and great to see Seaton staff get involved as well,” says RCMP spokesperson Cst. Kelly Brett. “It’s great for kids to see local police out of their uniform, connecting and having fun in a not so serious environment. ”

The match was held at Seaton Dec. 21.
