Dog Complaints Down in RDNO
Dog owners within the boundaries of the North Okanagan Regional District appear to have had a better handle on their pets last year.
The District’s Bylaw Enforcement Officer says the number of complaints about dogs last year decreased by 45 per cent from 2016 to 577.
The biggest decrease was in complaints about dogs at large at 64 per cent, dogs barking excessively was down by 26 per cent and aggressive dogs was down by 43 per cent.
Three hundred and 42 tickets were issued last year for various reasons and that was down 12 per cent from the previous year when 387 tickets were issued.
