Five people have been arrested in connection with an alleged dial a dope operation in Vernon.

Police searched a residence on Southwind Road, in the Bella Vista area Wednesday, where a group was believed to be operating an  illicit drug trafficking network, supplying drugs in a 24 hours a day operation .

Four men and one woman, ranging from 20 to 23 in age, were arrested and released, with trafficking charges expected to be laid.

The search warrant resulted in a seizure of cocaine, heroin and fentanyl, which were packaged for street level distribution, along with cash and other items related to drug trafficking.

The estimated street value of the drugs is over $7,000.

“This investigation is a great example of our commitment to investigating persons responsible for trafficking drugs, including fentanyl in our community,” says Sgt. David Evans of the Vernon North Okanagan Targeted Policing Unit.
