A BC Supreme Court judge has denied a change of venue application for a Vernon arson suspect.
56 year old William Munton is accused of 19 counts of arson after a series of fires in the Vernon area in 2016, one which destroyed the Kin Race Track grandstands.
Munton applied to have his trial moved to Kelowna, but reasons for that are covered by a publication ban.
After hearing both the Crown and defence arguments, Justice Dev Dely dismissed Munton’s request.
