Meningococcal Vaccinations Continue

Jan 17, 2018 | 7:57 AM

Over 14-thousand residents have been immunized for meningococcal disease since an outbreak was declared in the Okanagan in mid-December.

Interior Health says that includes 66% of 15 to 19 year olds, the most at risk group for getting the virus.

There’s been no new cases in the area since one on Dec. 28th.

Students can get a shot at clinics at PVSS in Armstrong and AL Fortune in Enderby today, one at Fulton in Vernon on Friday, or at the Vernon Health Clinic on 14th Avenue daily until Friday.
