Bundle Up For The Coldest Night Of The Year

The Upper Room Mission is preparing for its annual coldest night of the year event February 24th.

It’s a family-friendly fundraiser for Vernon’s homeless, hungry and hurting.

Participants can choose to either walk 5 or 10 kilometers

Then registration fee is 25 dollars until February 9th when it increases to 40 dollars.

Anyone taking part can also waive the fee and raise a minimum of 150 dollars or 75 dollars for youths 11 – 17.

There will be a number of rest stops along the route

The walk begins and ends at the Elks Lodge on 30th street, beginning at 5:15 and ending at 8 pm with a meal service for all the walkers and volunteers.
