Silver Star Opens For New Season

It’s the day skiers and boarders have been waiting for.

Silver Star Resort opens its alpine season today.

Operations director Brad Baker says they’re excited to welcome everyone back.

“The first people in line at the bottom of the Comet lift that answer the trivia questions correctly will get a coveted 2017-18 first chair t-shirt. We’ll also have hot chocolate and donuts for everybody down there,” says Baker.

Baker says they will have about 50 runs open, with four lifts running, and 50% off lift tickets today and Friday.

“It’s looking like a good start. Things have warmed up a little bit, but the good news is we’ve had lots of snow prior to this warm weather coming in, so we’ve still have really good coverage,” adds Baker.
