New Home and Name For City Service

Vernon’s community policing office is moving — and changing its name.

The city agency, along with the Restorative Justice Society, will move from their current 32nd Avenue building, into the former Topper’s Cleaning site on 31st Avenue Thursday.

Coordinator Rachael Zubick says the new name will be the  Community Safety Office.

The City is spending 135-thousand dollars to upgrade the new location.
