FOO FIGHTERSCONCRETE AND GOLD NORTH AMERICAN TOUR 2017-2018

NEW DATES ANNOUNCED IN SEATTLE, EDMONTON, CALGARY, VANCOUVER, PORTLAND, SAN JOSE

Tickets On Sale Saturday, November 18 at 10am Local Time *

As its 2017 U.S. leg resumes to packed houses and rave reviews, Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold Tour has added seven new headline dates to its North American itinerary.

Due to popular demand, a second show has been added July 30 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, the band’s July 29 Chicago date having sold out immediately upon going on sale to the public.

The North American leg of the tour supporting the international #1 album Concrete and Gold (Roswell Records/RCA Records) has further expanded its itinerary into 2018 with six more headline shows beginning September 1 at SafeCo Field in Seattle and running through September 12 at the SAP Center in San Jose. Tickets for the new dates are on sale to the public as of Saturday, November 18 at 10am local time (*with the exception of Seattle, which goes on sale Monday, November 20 at 10am local time).

Capital One Cardholder and FF Fan Pre-Sale tickets will be available as of Wednesday, November 15 at 10 am local market time. Pre-Sale tickets will be available until Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10 am local market time or until they are sold out. Pre-Sale tickets are limited to (4) tickets per card. While supplies last.

The first U.S. leg of the Concrete and Gold Tour has continued to storm through sold out arenas in Richmond, Greensboro, Cincinnati, Sioux Falls and more, with Foo Fighters consistently reaching new peaks of their estimable powers. Most recently, the Herald Whig in Champaign IL raved “the energy didn’t slow down at all during the near-three-hour set… If you get the chance, make sure you don’t miss out. You won’t regret it,” and the Argus Leader called the Foos’ first Sioux Falls appearance in decades “musical genius,” reporting that the band “blew away the crowd… pulling off a performance no one in the audience will forget… delivered the classic rock concert their fans know and love.”

For further updates on the 2017-2018 Concrete and Gold Tour, continue to check www.foofighters.com.

Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee.

Ewan Currie – vocals, songs, guitars, clarinet, drums
Ryan Gullen – bass, backing vocals
Sam Corbett – drums, backing vocals
Shamus Currie – keyboards, trombone
Jimmy Bowskill – guitars, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, pedal steelFor a new album that The Sheepdogs didn’t initially set out to make, Changing Colours is a stunning achievement.Proud purveyors of guitar-driven modern-day retro rock, the triple Juno Award-winning Saskatoon-based quintet has expanded its sound on Changing Colours to encompass more styles and hues to enhance the Sheepdogs’ trademark beef-and-boogietwin-axe riffs, hooks, shuffles and long-haired aesthetic.“We identify strongly with rock ‘n roll, but there’s definitely some branching out,” says Ewan Currie, The Sheepdogs’ singer, guitarist, songwriter and occasional – and yes, you’re reading this correctly – clarinetist. “The sounds we use on this – there’s more keyboards featuring Shamus and more stringed instruments. It’s still rock ‘n roll but there are more colours.”In the six years since The Sheepdogs claimed Rolling Stone magazine’s one and only Best Unsigned Band contest – earning them a U.S. record deal and a fervent endorsement from The Kings of Leon – the platinum-selling group has tirelessly criss-crossed the planet.Touring in support of critically acclaimed albums Learn & Burn, The Sheepdogs and Future Nostalgia has only honed the band’s workhorse ethic, generating hits like “I Don’t Know,” the gold “Feeling Good” and “The Way It Is” along the way and transforming them into a highly disciplined live attraction.

It’s a calling that they have never taken for granted.

“We could never sit back and rest on our laurels,” notes Corbett.

Changing Colours is a testament of The Sheepdogs’ never-ending desire to follow their muse, become increasingly prolific and deliver thrilling evenings of thundering, organic rock to their devoted audiences.

The rest just takes care of itself.

“Do good work and the people will find you,” notes Ewan Currie. “Let the work speak for itself. That’s our big philosophy.”

Also coming up this weekend right here in Vernon you can see PIGS!

See PIGS in concert November 18th at the Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre! All tickets go for $42.25. Doors open at 6:30PM. Show starts at 7:30PM.

PIGS, Canada’s Most Authentic Pink Floyd Tribute will be bringing their critically acclaimed show to Vernon in 2017. Their PIGS ON THE WING show celebrates the 40th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd’s 1977 classic album Animals. One of the band’s heaviest and most political statements, the concept album has become a favourite for legions of fans, and Pigs will be performing the album in its entirety, in addition to material from across the band’s legendary repertoire.

Click below for video

PIGS continues to surprise and delight audiences with authentic performances of Pink Floyd classics, including many songs which have rarely (if ever) been performed live. The lights, lasers, giant screen, and utterly authentic live sound come together to recreate the experience of seeing Pink Floyd live in the 1970s.

PIGS’ claim to fame is their authenticity. PIGS recreate the Pink Floyd sound with authentic gear and accurate live renditions of the songs. Every last detail of the look, sound, and feel of Pink Floyd’s classic era is meticulously worked out and perfected and each band member assumes the role of their Floyd counterpart. Since their inception seven years ago, PIGS has been amazing audiences with their dynamic re-creation of one of the world’s favourite rock groups. With the passing of keyboardist Richard Wright in 2008, fans of Pink Floyd lost hope of ever again seeing their favourite band re-united. PIGS offer the next best thing: an authentic look back into the breathtaking past of one of the world’s most timeless bands.
