Silver Star Lovin’ the Early Snow

SilverStar Mountain Resort will open its Nordic skiing, fat biking and snowshoeing this Friday due to great snowfall conditions.

All upper trails will be open, machine groomed and track set while 90% of the lower trails will be open, machine groomed and track set. The trails open from 8.30am – 3.30pm.

SilverStar Mountain Resort and Sovereign Lake continue to boast Canada’s Largest Daily Groomed XC Trail Network with 105km of rolling terrain and trails that suit all ability levels and interests.

SilverStar has the highest concentration of Level 4 XC Ski Instructors in Canada and trails are groomed to world class and World Cup standards.

“We’re excited to be opening the ‘doors early’ on XC skiing” says Nordic Programs Manager Shane Landreville for the resort. “The industry is experiencing increased participation with baby boomers and under 35’s recognizing the social and health benefits more than ever before”.

Throughout the 105km trail, Nordic skiers can expect 7 cabins, 1 restaurant and incredible viewpoints.

In the Village, retail, rental, repairs, tickets (including Season Passes) – will all be open from 8am till 4pm. XC Lessons can be pre-booked by calling Snowsports on 1 800 663 4431.

Right now our planned Alpine Opening Day is still Thursday November 23rd.
