Criminality suspected in missing person case

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP believe criminality is involved in the case of a missing Vernon man.

The Serious Crime Unit has taken over the investigation of Blayne Keith Ferguson, who was last seen in Vernon on Thursday, Sept. 21, and say criminality is now suspected in the sudden disappearance of the 27- year-old.

Ferguson is described as a Caucasian male, standing 6′ tall with a slender build. He has red hair and hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a red hoodie, camouflage pants and black shoes.

Police say a vehicle, a 2003 blue, four-door Toyota Echo with B.C. license plate SJ8 28K is now believed to be associated with this case.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who saw this vehicle, or has information about its whereabouts, between the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 21, and noon Friday, Sept. 22.

Anyone with information relating to the vehicle or the whereabouts of Ferguson is advised to call the RCMP at 250-545-7171.
