North Okanagan highways getting resurfaced
You will likely see crews working on several road resurfacing projects around the North Okanagan.
The process known as hot-in-place asphalt recycling is being used on a total of 43 kilometres, including on Highway 6 between Vernon and Lumby, two segments of Highway 97 near Vernon and two parts of Highway 97 near Falkland.
Work on the $7.2-million project is expected to be complete this summer.
The work crews are having to follow provincial health orders to stay a minimum of two meters apart from each others.
