“…Lord, glorify his station, shelter him under the pavilion of Thy supreme mercy, cause him to enter Thy glorious paradise, and perpetuate his existence in Thine exalted rose garden…”
‘Abdu’l-Bahá’
The family of Zabih Asasi announce his passing on November 28, 2021 at the Hamlets in Vernon, BC. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Afsar Asasi, his three children Fariba (Habib), Farid, Ziba (Fareed), and his grandchildren Camelia, Alysia, Jessica, Marina, Sasha, Justin, Sabrina, Nishan and many extended family members. After escaping from Iran with his family because of religious persecutions as a Baha’i, Zabih emigrated to Calgary in 1985 to start a new life. He started a painting and decorating business and worked until he retired to Peachland with Afsar in 2002. They both moved to Vernon in 2008 to be closer to their youngest daughter Ziba and her family.
He loved to travel, work in the garden and spend time with the family. He always wanted to be of service in any way he could and to lend a helping hand to others.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Hamlets for looking after Zabih, especially in his final days. A funeral service (by invitation only) will be held on Tuesday Dec. 7th, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2022. The funeral services will be live streamed at the link below. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in Zabih’s memory.
We miss you Badihullah, Baaba, Bozorg. Your smile, joyfulness and immense love for your family will never be forgotten! until we meet again!
