It is with the deepest sorrow that the family of Yvonne Lowe announce her passing at the age of 93.

Yvonne was born in Lanigan, Saskatchewan and was a twin to brother Y Don. She completed her nurse’s degree in 1951 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatchewan. She had a lengthy career at VJH after moving to Vernon in 1974.  Yvonne lived a very active life and enjoyed hiking, golfing, cross country skiing and speed skating with her many friends, work colleges and family. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 30 years. She was an avid knitter and cryptogram solver. But most of all Yvonne treasured her family.

She is survived by her children: Brian Langner, Brenda Langner [Andy MacKay], Dana Hauck [John], Dean Langner [Karen Robert] and 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Odie Lowe, her parents, her 3 brothers and their spouses and her first husband, Arthur Langner.

A service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 1 pm at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. A tea will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society.
