Walter Stecyk

We regret to announce the passing of Walter Stecyk.

Walter was born in Carvel, Alberta and passed away in Vernon, B.C.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret and children; Charlene (William) Fair, Barry (Tasha) and Lisa (Darren) Hickson; all of Vernon; grandchildren; Matthew (Laure) Fair and Christopher Fair of Calgary; Devery and Denica Hickson of Vernon ; great granddaughters Mackenna and Carmen Fair of Calgary. He is further survived by brother-in-law Brian (Anne) White and family of Mission, B.C. and special nephew Robbie (Randi) Stecyk and family of Stoney Plain, Alberta.

Walter was a humble and private man who became a successful businessman often with ideas ahead of his time. His partnership with Margaret was more then just a marriage as they built many successful businesses together. Family was everything to him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Chartwell Carrington especially Angela and the health care team; Michelle Wiebe Community Care Nurse ;Ronelle, Megan and Mary; the staff on 2 East; Doctor C. Pienaar and Doctor M. Aucamp and Gwen Smith.

Private internment was held at Vernon Cemetery.
