It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to Steven Bruce Allen, who peacefully passed away on September 2, 2023. Born on January 5, 1977, Steven brought boundless joy and exuberance into the lives of those who were fortunate to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and unwavering devotion.
Steven will be forever missed by his beloved mother Joan and sister Melanie (Chris). He also leaves behind loving Auntie Mary (Liam), Uncle Tige (Kathy), Auntie Marilyn, and cousins Christopher (Rebecca), Corina (Eusebio), Jeremy (Jodi), Alana, Frank, Jennifer (Craig), Kerry (Lorraine) and Kim (Carl), Brent (Tanya), Doug (Mel), Chandra (Brian) and all their children. He is predeceased by his father Bruce and his grandparents, all of whom he adored. He cherished his family deeply, and his presence illuminated their lives like a beacon of happiness.
Steven had a uniquely infectious enthusiasm for life. He had an unparalleled ability to light up any room with his radiant smile and a heartwarming greeting that made you feel cherished. His passion for spending quality time at the cabin with friends and family was a testament to his love for the people who mattered most to him. His passion for others extended to animals, and he found solace and companionship in the furry friends he adored.
A devoted hockey fan, Steven’s excitement for the sport was contagious. He could be heard singing Oh Canada at the top of his lungs, and cheering on or encouraging his favourite team from across the arena. His excitement and enthusiasm brought the spirit of the game to life.
Steven’s love for the outdoors was evident in the gentle dedication he showed when tending his flowers and the joy he took in boat rides on the lake, where he revelled in the serenity of nature and the company of those he held dear.
Perhaps one of Steven’s most cherished gifts was his sense of humour and his ability to make friends and family laugh until tears streamed down their faces. He had an incredible talent for bringing joy to those around him, and his zest for life was truly contagious.
Steven’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He touched us all, and changed us for the better. His unyielding love, boundless energy, and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain a source of inspiration and joy to us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Steven’s memory to Kindale Developmental Association.
A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at the family cabin next summer, details to follow. We hope many of you will join us in honouring the memory of this remarkable man who brought so much happiness to our lives.
Rest easy, dear Steven, knowing that your legacy of love, devotion and laughter will continue to warm our hearts for years to come.
