Steffanie Rosalia Hora (Gerstal)

Born November 27, 1941 passed away peacefully in the Vernon Hospice House on August 14, 2019 at the age of 77 with her family by her side. Steffanie was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Maria (Gefri) Gerstal, brothers Joseph, Max, Martin, Sigmund, John, sister Rose and brother Otto. Steffanie was the youngest out of 10 children.

Left with fond and loving memories her family; Husband of 59 years Gordon Hora, Son Darryl Hora (Bobbi), daughters Brenda (Robin) & Belinda; 3 loving grandchildren Colton, Linden and Spencer. Steffanie is also survived by here sisters Liz Campbell, Tina Merry and many nieces and nephews who will truly miss her.

Steffanie enjoyed walking many miles, spending time with her family was most important and time with her friends. She also volunteered at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital where she devoted many hours which she truly loved.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday August 17, 2019 at Saint James Catholic Church (2607-27 Street, Vernon, BC) at 1:00 PM with Father Peter Nguyen officiating. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Steffanie may do so to the North Okanagan Hospice Society.

The family would like to give many thanks to the loving staff at Vernon Hospice House for their support and care to our loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother while she spent her last days with us.
