In loving memory of Stanislav (Stan) Frano, who passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. Stan was born on March 12, 1953, in Slovakia, and later immigrated to Canada in 1985 with his cherished wife Sidonia (Cindy) Frano and their two children, Stacey and Marek. They settled in Yellowknife, NT, where Stan dedicated over 20 years of his life to working as a gold miner. Upon retirement, he found solace in the serene landscapes of Shuswap, British Columbia.
Stan was a man who embraced life with open arms and a warm heart. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing, hunting, and basking in the beauty of nature. His genuine love for life radiated through every moment spent with family and friends. Stan’s kindness and easygoing nature endeared him to all who knew him, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sidonia (Cindy) Frano, his loving children, Stacey (Jason), Marek (Shira) and his loving grandchildren, David, Dillon, Nathan, Yelaina, and Luka. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada, a cause close to Stan’s heart.
A celebration of Stan’s remarkable life will be held on April 26, 2024, at 11am at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in Vernon, BC. Though Stan may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
