Jacob (Jack) Bradley Shore passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, at the age of 87. Jack is survived by his loving family, wife Angela, his daughter Randi Pattermann (Ron), his son Darrin Shore (Cheryl), 4 grandchildren Jenna Shore (Jessie), Jillian Shore (Erik), Rhianne Pattermann (Erik) and Raeli Pattermann, and 5 great grandchildren, Chloe Partel, Jaxon Partel, Gavin Neuhaus, Emma Neuhaus, and Aiden Neuhaus.
He is further survived by his brother James Shore (Dianne), sisters, Dorothy Sengotta and Margaret Salfi (Frank) and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack was born in Kelowna, B.C. and grew up in Oyama into a farming family. He left briefly for a couple of years where he met his soulmate Angela and returned home to pursue his love of farming. Together with his father Bradley they purchased an orchard in Vernon BC. He farmed the orchard on Pottery Road for thirty years. After travelling extensively, he purchased another farm on Bella Vista Road with Ron and Randi, teaching the next generation. They remained on the farm for the next 30 years, while also seeking out further travel adventures and wintering in Yuma Arizona.
Jack’s other interests included fishing, square dancing, horseshoes, pickleball, quadding and golf. He remained extremely active until the last few years when his health declined.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mass for the repose of the soul for Jack will be celebrated on Monday March 10, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, Vernon BC. A gathering will be held in the church basement after the mass.
