SOROCHUK, Rosemary Anne (Watson)
Rose passed away December 6, 2019 at Polson Extended Care after battling dementia for the last five years.
She was born in England and moved to Canada in 1950. She spent her childhood in Quebec and moved to B.C. in 1966.
Rose was a founding member of the Gymnastics Club in Vernon, sat on the board of the Boys and Girls Club, and was active in the ski club. She enjoyed tennis, soccer, and volleyball as well.
Although a teacher by profession, she chose to be a homemaker and raise her three children. During this time she was an active gardener and became active in the garden club in later years.
Rose is survived by her husband Dale; sons: Wade (Jen) and Mike (Shannon); her grandchildren: Emily, Sam, and Mac; brothers: Tony (Anne), Bill, David (Angela); sister, Sheila (Al); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her daughter, Lee-Anne, in 2005.
By request, there will not be a service but a gathering of family and friends is planned for later. The family also wishes to thank Dr. R. Waldron and the staff of Polson for their care and compassion.
