Robert Eugene Marks

With heartfelt love and sadness our father, Robert Eugene Marks passed away on December 20, 2022 at the age of 91.  Dad was born in St. John New Brunswick on February 23, 1931.  He is predeceased by his wife Nettie and four sons, Robert, Daniel, David and Sean, his grandson Damien and son in law Earl.  He leaves to mourn his children, Bryan (Cheryl), Kathleen, Patricia, Sharon, Richard (Susanne),Bill (Sheri), and Greg (Nicole) along with his 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his brother George (Frankie) as well as friends and relatives.

Robert was very proud of his time spent in the Army, PPCLI Second Battalion, where he earned his Wings as a Paratrooper.  He met and married his wife Nettie while stationed in Manitoba when the Army assisted with the 1950 flood.  Dad and our mother Nettie retired and moved from Winnipeg MB to Vernon BC in 1990.  Robert loved spending time with his sons and grandsons particularly during their many fishing trips.  He was an avid reader and loved watching Curling and Hockey.

At Robert’s request there will be no Service.  A grave side gathering with family will occur in the future.  We express our thanks to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of choice.
