RIDGWAY, Amy (nee ROTH)
October 12, 1945-November 3, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our sister Amy Ridgway at Lavington, BC on November 3, 2019.
Fourth in a family of five, Amy was born in Salmon Arm, BC on October 12, 1949. She spent her early years on the family farm in Balmoral, BC where she fell in love with all the animals, especially dogs, which were to become her passion throughout her life.
After graduating from school, she moved to the coast, eventually settling in Chilliwack where she met her husband, Bill. They were married in 1971 and set up and ran a successful sheet metal and heating business.
In 1991, they relocated to Lavington and continued on in the business of installing gas fireplaces until she retired.
Amy is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mary Roth, her brother Dennis Roth and husband, Bill Ridgway.
She is survived by her sisters, Terry Slobodin of Vernon, Eileen Roth of North Vancouver and Fran Kruger of Vernon as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends.
A service of remembrance will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Saturday November 23, 2019 at 11:00 am with Deacon Paul Murphy officiating.
Rest in peace Amy. We will meet again.
