In Loving Memory,
Randy Joseph Norrish
July 13, 1954 – June 3, 2026
Randy Joseph Norrish, 71, of Vernon, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, lovingly embraced by immediate family.
Born in Mission, British Columbia, to R. Kirk and Lillian Norrish, Randy’s family spent their early years in Hatzic, B.C. before moving to Summerland, then Vernon when Randy was a young teenager.
After graduating from Vernon Senior Secondary in 1972, Randy traveled briefly to Europe, then returned to Vernon to receive his Red Seal for carpentry. For over 40 reputable years, Randy spent his skilled career building structures and relationships within the industry. He eventually specialized in fine finishing work and was a mentor to many.
Randy loved playing ball with his team “The Roos,” and enjoyed fishing and camping with friends, along with his sidekick German Shepard, Rhampa.
He loved a good car race, whether in person or on TV, and eventually owned and worked on his own vintage Jaguar. He also always had time for long chats with his kids about healthy living and wellness, and getting caught up with his lovely grandkids.
Throughout it all, Randy always maintained his kind and generous nature, head-shaking sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to family.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Brenda Norrish; devoted children Jenica, Carly, and Jonathan; grandchildren Sydney, Noella, and Gabriella; siblings Roy (Patty), Gloria McKay (Ken), and Calvin (Shaunti); brother-in-law Brian Kuchel (Debbie); nephews Ryan, Jason, Cody, Matthew, Tyson, Kyle, and Craig; niece Danielle; and Greta, his dear cat. He will be greatly missed by those who love him.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian, his father R. Kirk, mother and father-in-law Jean & John Kuchel, as well as his nephew, Joel.
There will not be a service, and in lieu of flowers to the family, memorial contributions may be made to Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation (https://www.vjhfoundation.org/).
