Randolph “Randy” Arthur Piluk, of Vernon BC, peacefully passed away on January 5th, 2023 at the age of 65 after a difficult battle with Cancer.
Randy was born on February 13, 1957 in Weston, York County, Ontario to parents Michael and Ruth Piluk and grew up in Guelph, Ontario with his 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Randy worked as a CPPB (Certified Professional Public Buyer) for Western Star Trucks, Interior Health Authority, as well as for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Alberta before his retirement in 2017.
As an avid Maple Leafs fan, a highlight of Randy’s life was when he was able to meet player Eddie Shack. He spent many more years cheering the team on, hoping for one more Stanley Cup. His other interests included doing home renovation projects, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren.
After retiring, Randy and his wife of 20 years, Debra, fulfilled a dream they shared of travelling through the states to Corpus Christi, Texas by RV. They went on to become “snowbirds” and spent winters in Mesa, Arizona before Randy fell ill.
Randy was predeceased by his parents Michael and Ruth Piluk.
He is survived by his wife Debra, his brothers Gordon (Nicki) Piluk, Peter (Freda) Piluk, and Richard (Karen) Piluk, his sister Dianne (Gary) Shipman, his son Paul (Angie) Piluk, daughter Jennifer (Scott) Shannon, step-son Tim (Krystle) Fields, as well as 7 grandchildren.
Celebration of Life to be held August 26th, 2023.
