October 26, 1942 – January 5th, 2023
Ralph quietly slipped away on January 5th, 2023. He was surrounded by his family in a room filled with love. Ralph’s fun loving spirit touched many lives and he will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Diane, his children – Kelly (Doug), Sam (Blair), Chris (Kelvin), Graham (Julianna), Ted (Laura), Shawna (Goldy) and Rick (Dawnus). His grandchildren, Marcus, Kyle, Jodh, Emma, Jasleen, Glenn, Caleb, Olivia, Lukas, and Cole were a huge part of his life. Ralph was born in Sonningdale, Saskatchewan and was raised in North Vancouver.
He went to BCIT and trained as a cable technician. He worked for Rogers Communications for several years before escaping the gridlock of Vancouver and realized his dream of living on a farm in Cherryville. He then worked for Vercom Cable, which was later known as Shaw Cable. Ralph was always there for people and was loved and respected by his neighbours, friends and family. He loved hunting, fishing and travelling.
A celebration of life will be held at the Prestige Hotel Vernon – 4411 32nd Street on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
