It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of our dear brother, Walter David Pylypiuk on December 22, 2021. He passed away peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
He is predeceased by his wife Mel, his parents Peter and Elsie Pylypiuk and his brother-in-law Edward Dobroskay. He leaves to mourn his devoted fiancé Betty Haynes, brother Lloyd (Pat) Pylypiuk, his sister Marian (Walter) Marchuk, his sister Esther Dobroskay, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
Walter was born in Prince Albert and raised on a farm. In his early twenties he moved to Calgary and there he met his wife Mel who was also from Prince Albert. After a couple of years in Calgary, they moved to Vancouver. There he was employed at a lumber mill till his retirement. Shortly after retirement they moved to Vernon which they called home for many years. He lost his loving wife Mel in 2016 after 59 years if marriage. Walter was a wonderful brother, Uncle and friend.
It only takes a little space
To write how much we miss you
But it will take the rest of our lives
To forget the day we lost you
We say good-by now. We all love you and will always carry you close in our hearts.
