(March 11, 1954 – October 26, 2025)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Percy, who left us on October 26, 2025, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.

Percy loved fishing, hunting, watching hockey (his passion for the game never faded), and spending time with family. He was a devoted husband of 40 years to Lorraine; loving father to Hunter (and Dee), Lynn (and Steve), and James; and proud Papa to Jace and Emma.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Matt and Helen, Anne and Ron, Susan and Jerry, Sandy and Val, Donald and Rachell, all of whom will cherish his memory. Percy was predeceased by his parents, David and Joyce MacNiven, whom he loved and honored deeply.

Percy had a wonderful sense of humor—even in his final moments—and found great joy and purpose in his work at Home Depot in Vernon, where he was known for proudly wearing his kilts and sharing laughter with coworkers and customers alike.

The loss of Percy is immeasurable. His love, kindness, and humor will remain with all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal rescue of your choice, in honor of Percy’s love for animals.
