Penny soon found work helping the many small businesses in the area with their bookkeeping and accounting needs as Monashee Accounting Services. After a short sojourn in the Richlands area, Penny and Pieter soon moved to their property on North Fork road above Cherry Creek. Pieter found work as a carpenter and between jobs began slowly converting the old log cabin into a modern dream home with ample space for their daughter Margaret, Penny’s office, and their many friends and family who came to stay.
Penny was always active with the community and often volunteered her services. She made life long friends amongst her clients and the rest of the community. Penny was always up for a conversation, a coffee, or a lunch with friends.
Penny never tired of the peace and beauty that she Piete found along Cherry Creek. She will be missed by her husband, her family, and many, many others.
