Patricia Elaine Parsons, age 71, of Lumby, British Columbia passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. She left us suddenly and unexpectedly, surrounded by family.

Pat was born January 29, 1950 in Powell River, BC. She lived in Alberta and Saskatchewan before returning to BC to live in Vernon, finally settling down in Lumby.

Pat was a strong woman with a great zest for life.  She loved hiking, swimming, staying active with exercise groups, travelling, meeting people, and seeing her family and friends.  Always quick with a smile and laugh, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Pat is predeceased by her loving husband Jim Horton, her parents Freda and Walter Parsons and her grandparents.

Survived by her children: Lena Horan, William (Renee) Horan, Rose Horan, Crystal Horan, Russ (Shannon) Horton, Andy (Sherrie) Horton.

Her grandchildren: Tyler Horan, Jodi Derenowski, Nicholas Derenowski, Natasha Derenowski, Riley Mazurkewich, Jessika Sawatzky, Jolene Mazurkewich, Ruslan Mazurkewich, Ian Horan, Emily Horton.

Her great grandchildren: Kateryna Mazurkewich, Anna Horan.

Her brothers and sisters: Tom (Elsie) Parsons, John (Marilynn Haylow) Parsons, Fred (Dawn) Parsons, Allen (Maureen) Parsons, Lucy (Tony) Stroomer.

And all her nieces and nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving or the Canadian Firefighters Curling Association supporting Muscular Dystrophy.
