It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of beloved mother and nana Pamela Kay McMann. Pam passed away suddenly in her own home in Vernon, BC on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the age of 82.
Pam is survived by her loving children Michael, Bradley, and Kimberley McMann, her two grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Mitchell McMann and Kayla (Blair) Hogan, one sister-in-law Mary Hughes, two nieces Heather and Cheryl Hughes and two nephews Brent Hughes and Kevin Viggor. She was predeceased by her parents, devoted husband of 44 years, Fred McMann, brother Jim Viggor, and brother-in-law Allen Hughes.
Pam was born in 1940 in Liverpool, England. In 1956, at the age of 16, six years after her father passed away, Pam moved to Vancouver, BC with her mother and brother. Pam spent her career as a tool and die maker, and designated industrial first aid attendant at Lenkurt Electric. In 1998 she retired with her husband to Vernon BC. Pam was an avid curler, and for many years a respected curling official. Enjoying hobbies such as cake decorating, sewing, gardening, and much more, Pam was a very talented lady. Known for her wit and sense of humour, Pam always made those around her laugh. Although she could put her foot down when she had to, she had the biggest heart. Pam was loved dearly, and will be greatly missed.
There will be no funeral, rather, upon her wishes, Pam’s ashes will be spread along with her husband Fred on the Thompson river now that she has laid to rest with him.
