On July 16th, 2021, the Creator peacefully called our brother and father home at the age of 62. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Wilbur is predeceased by his parents, Rose and Ralph Marchand, his grandparents, Charlie Marchand, Susan Nicolas, Mary Abel and Charlie Bessette, nephews Brenden Oliverius, Francine Brown, and Leon Marchand, brother-in-law Philip Wilson, great aunts Rita and Marie Nicolas. Aunt Pauline Sorochinski, Uncles Marcel Belanger, Alex Marchand, Carey Marchand.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Wilbur Allard (Edward) Marchand; Mary Marchand, Colin (Miranda) Marchand, Brett Lulu. His grandchildren: Mattias, Liam, Keziah, Owen, Brielle and Aiden. His siblings Bernadine Marchand, Susan (Richard) Oliverius, May Wilson, Paul (Monica) Michel, Bernice (Timothy) Jensen, Stuart (Yvonne) Lee, Marlene Marchand, Julie (Mario) Richard, Joseph (Kristen) Marchand, Ann (Jody) Broomfield. His lifetime friend and mother to his children, Colleen Marchand. His aunts, Hilda Belanger, Rita Marchand, Christine Marchand, uncles Louie (Shorty) Fred, Victor Antoine, Joey Marchand, Bailey Marchand, Duane Marchand, Kelly Marchand. His good friend, Karen Cullins. Fur babies: Willow, Bradley and Mikey. Wilbur will be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Wilbur enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it be hunting, fishing, berry picking, learning nsyilxcən, garage saling/finding bargains, crafting or on one of his many adventures with his sisters. He liked being outside working on his yard or attending family gatherings, especially when there was Indian bingo involved.
Wake will be July 20th and 21st at the family home where he grew up. Ceremony to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021 at the Head of the Lake Hall at 10:00am. The family wishes to thank you for your support during this difficult time. Wilbur will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched, especially his close family and friends.
