It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darling Momma, Jean Eileen Gibson. She passed away quietly at home with family by her side at 3:30 pm October 7, 2019. She bravely fought cancer for over a decade, but lost the battle.
Jean Eileen Mott was born June 29, 1935 in Alder Flats, Alberta and will be laid to rest next to her loving husband James Gibson in Burnaby BC.
Jean was predeceased in death not only by her husband but by a child named Kim, her parents George and Thelma & siblings, Eunice, Len & Art and a grandson Korbyn.
While Jean worked outside the house for a bit, her heart seemed most content when she got to do for her family. She was a woman who gave her all in everything.
One of Jean’s greatest legacies was her dedication to her husband James Gibson with whom she had the pleasure of spending 64 amazing years with, raising and spending quality time with their 4 children Doug, Rob, Stuart and Kathleen Gibson.
Jean had a passion for poetry and loved the time she got to spend with her grandchildren Cortnal, Deon, Douglas, Dylan, Jason, Les and Sarah. She combined her love of those things to create terrific memories that will live on with us all. Those were the gifts she gave, the kind that lasted.
Jean also had a quick wit that often involved one liners that would get everyone belly laughing. She was a compassionate woman with an infectious smile and a loving heart. She will be sadly missed.
