Born July 28, 1933 and passed away on January 7, 2020 at the age of 86 years. Janet is predeceased by her parents Marie and Jack O. Dale, and one grandson Ewan Barry Newton.

Janet will be lovingly remembered by her husband Barry of 65 years, three daughters, Wendy (Dan), Sherry, and Donna (Ron), four grandchildren, Daevyne, Kessa, Graham and Cris, one brother, Jack and sister-in-law Fran, whom reside in Australia.

Janet had a diversity of interests, singing in a group called the “Folkson Four” in the late sixties.

Throughout her life, she played in many different pipe bands, playing drums as well as bagpipes. Janet did pottery, stained glass, and also had a business called McStuff where she sold highland crafts and supplies. Janet spent many years at their cabin on Shuswap Lake writing and enjoying the company of her grandchildren. Janet started the group “Ukuleles For Fon”, which Barry and Janet played in for many years, she also sang in choirs, as music was a big part of her life.

Janet spent the last three years at Noric House where she was diligently cared. The family are deeply grateful for the tireless compassion and kindness shown to her every day.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday January 26, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Army & Navy Air force Hall, 2500 46 Avenue, Vernon, BC.
