January 21, 1950 – January 21, 2020
It is with sad but loving hearts that the life of Ian McIntyre is remembered by all those who were touched by his infectious laugh, kindness, generosity and persevering spirit. Predeceased by his loving parents George and Joan McIntyre. Survived by his two sisters, Evelyn (Gary) Taylor and Linda Barclay, his nephews Christopher (Karen) Taylor and Darren (Lynn) Taylor, great niece Melissa and great nephews Ryan, Jessey and Tristan Taylor.
Despite many health setbacks, Ian, became the airport manager at Norway House MB, was a DJ for a time, became an accountant and later became the chief accountant for Royal City Foods BC. However, due to further debilitating health concerns his career was cut short but he lived on with the help, devotion and love of his parents. In his life, Ian loved all types of music, played the accordion and keyboards, went camping frequently with his nephews, travelled to several countries of the world, and designed 2 vacation homes that were built for the family. Ian’s most favorite treat was potato chips. His good nature and laugh will be remembered by so many. Ian was never defeated and lived his life as best as he possibly could and is a testament to us all.
May he forever be at peace and there is no doubt, he will always be loved and remembered by all who knew him.
