Grace Irene Redekopp

Grace Redekopp, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend passed away on October 21,2024 at the age of 88. She had been happily married to Robert (Bob) Redekopp for 68 years before he passed away a year ago. Grace missed Bob and asked about him often after his passing. Grace was born On October 12, 1936, in Melford Saskatchewan. She lived a life full of warmth, joy, and kindness, she was the heart of her family and a constant source of inspiration.
Grace will be remembered for her boundless love, endless patience, the ability to listen, her love for sewing, crochet, knitting, needlework, original storytelling, and art, including painting and drawing, crossword puzzles, animals, and nature.
Grace was the cornerstone of her family, creating a home that extended beyond her family to the care of others in need, including foster children. Her home was filled with laughter, warmth, and delicious meals and the smell of freshly baked bread. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren adored her, treasuring every moment they spent with her, cooking, canning, baking, drawing, painting, gardening, and playing. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Redekopp, Mother Opal (Irene) Redekopp, Henry Redekopp, Father Harold Bradford, sister Marion Bradford, brother Lyle Bradford and brother William Bradford as well as niece Michelle Baker and nephew Christopher Briggs.
She is survived by her children, Joyce (Ernie Ward) Forsythe, Glenda (Kevin) Beattie, Robert (Lhalic) Redekopp, grandchildren Mike (Carol), Bronwyn, Ryan (Rebecca), Jay (Tina), Colby/Dane (Raven), Abegail, and great grandchildren Patrick, Hazel, Zoe, Maddox, Mia, Jenessa, Elleora, Isaiah, Samuel, Elijah, James, Mary, and Peter. Siblings, Myrna, James (Elvie), sisters in law Rose, Flo Van Essen and family and her good friend Iris Balcombe.
A celebration of life will be held on November 13th at 11 at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home 4303 Pleasant Valley rd Vernon BC. Followed by a graveside burial and reception.
