Doreen Mildred James
July 1926 – December 28
It is with sadness, but also with peace, that we announce the passing of our mother, grandma and great grandma (GG).
Mom was born in Moose Jaw to Edna and Robert Twist. In 1946 she married dad, Gordon James, and they lived in various cities through the early years, mostly in Saskatchewan. Mom and dad had two sons, Barry (Lorraine) James and Bruce (Holly) James. Also left to mourn are her four grandsons and two great grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband, parents, brother, and daughter-in-law.
Mom was an animal lover, and she was never without a dog or two. She was also an excellent seamstress. After dad retired, mom and dad moved to Armstrong where they became active members in the community.
In 2010, mom moved to Canterbury Court and took part in all of the activities there. She loved her cards and always seemed to be in the craft room. The family would like to thank all the caring and loving staff at Canterbury. Although mom’s stay at Polson Care was very short, we would like to say thank you to the lovely staff there.
A tea will be held at Canterbury Court on Friday, January 3rd at 10:00 a.m.
Arrangements entrusted to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home 250-542-4333
