It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Dennon Andre James Leibel on October 20, 2024. Dennon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his close family and friends. For the last 10 years, Dennon fought a lengthy and hard battle with cancer. Dennon was born and raised in Vernon, BC. He was a natural athlete and played on many hockey and baseball teams.

He leaves behind the love of his life Megan and young precious daughter Leona, mother Wendy, father Rick and sister & brother in law Alexis & Dan. Dennon was strong, resilient and always had a positive mindset. He touched many people’s lives. He was known for his humour and smiling face. Dennon showed many people immense kindness, compassion and empathy. He was the shining light in our lives and will be forever missed. Dennon, we love you and we miss you.

A Celebration of Life for Dennon is on November 9, 2024 from 3pm-6pm at the Vernon Recreation Center Conference Center, everyone is welcome.

In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to BC Children’s Hospital or to Megan (mbenischek@me.com) towards a memorial bench in honour of Dennon.
