1940 – 2023
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Denise Marie Couture (Nee Groulx); our mother, our grandmother, our mama. Denise passed away peacefully in Vernon, B.C. on February 18, 2023.
Denise was born in Quebec in 1940 to Wilfrid and Adelia Groulx. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with her family when they came to visit, she also loved cleaning, and her animals.
Denise is predeceased by her husband, Andre Couture and is survived by her children, Diane (Wayne) Lamothe & family, Mireille, Suzanne (Brian), Joanne, Gaetan (Kim) & family, and Carole (Greg) Felker & family. Denise is also survived by her siblings, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Daisy.
Denise was a very kind and loving mother, and was very much loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the first responders and staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital for the care they provided Denise during her stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denise’s name to the SPCA.
The family will not be having a funeral service at this time.
