It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet mother, Deanna Beverley Trickett (nee; Jones) on January 20, 2021, at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Deanna was born in New Westminster, BC, on December 16, 1941, to Jack and Tona Jones. She had one sister, Loretta, whom she was very close to. She was stricken with Rheumatic Fever as a child, which caused her serious heart complications, resulting in her requiring three heart surgeries during her life. At 18 years old, she married David Trickett. They had two daughters, Dana Leigh and Dawn Marie. They moved to Australia in 1972 where they all resided for a year before coming back to Canada and making Lumby, BC, their home. Deanna was predeceased by her loving husband, David, in 1992, and six years later, found love again with her life partner, Joe Engler. She was a grandmother to her one grandson, Ryan, whom she loved dearly. Deanna was a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a friend, and an aunt who touched the lives of many. Everyone she met, she graced with kindness and love.
Our Mother, Deanna Trickett, will be forever missed and loved and remain in our hearts always.
“Mom, Could you come back and stay awhile.
We want to hear your voice and see you smile.
We want to hold you tight
And never let you go
And tell you how much
We love you so… “
