November 29,1959 to January 24, 2020
Clay Lindsay Harris, age 60, of Lumby, B.C., passed the morning of January 24, 2020 surrounded by family at his beloved home. He was born November 29, 1959 in Biggar, Saskatchewan to the late Oliver Harris and Myrna (Clay) Harris. He grew up in Landis, Saskatchewan with his 3 siblings: Cindy , Guy, and Celeste.
Clay is survived by his partner, Bernadette Dwan; his four children: Lindsay (Jason), Lyndon (Sherri), Landon, Lorin (Lindsey); and seven grandchildren: Carter, Taylor, Brooklyn, Jack, Oliver, Savannah, and Mila; along with Bernadette’s children and grandchildren: Mandy (Makenna, Drew), Ryle and many other close family and friends.
Clay was a son, father, grandfather, partner and friend. Although 60 was a young age, Clay’s life was full of love, laughter and excitement. He loved to laugh, and his kind, charismatic personality always managed to put a smile on everyone’s face. Clay touched the lives of many, even when it wasn’t his intention. He was a hardworking family man and always lent a helping hand without hesitation. Clay will be truly missed by family, friends and his community.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the White Valley Community Centre, 2250 Shields Avenue, Lumby, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Clay’s name to the North Okanagan Hospice Society.
