It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother, Cindy Carol Eld. She is survived by her sons Dustin (Kim, Olivia and Liam) and David (Bryann and Matheo). Mother, Martha. Sisters, Marlene (Ross) Schnurr and Lynda (Terry) Berke. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her Father, Bill and sister, Darlene.
Cindy was born on August 27, 1963 in Kamloops, BC. She spent most of her younger years in Deadman’s Creek and the family ranch in Walhachin where she lived until 1981. It was at the family farm where Cindy developed a love for animals, especially cats. Stray cats always seemed to find Cindy, as they knew a kind heart would look after them. After graduating from Kamloops High School, Cindy met Mike Sanchez and soon Dustin and David were born.
Cindy was a dedicated, hardworking Mother. She was well known to many people in Kamloops from her time at the Kirin Mandarin and London Drugs. She excelled as a manager showing her patience, organization, and strong interpersonal skills to all of her employees while always smiling and making the customer feel like they were family.
Cindy did whatever she had to make sure her kids had the best life possible, working at times three jobs. She always made sure that she was there for school events and every important moments as a Mother. After Darlene died in 2001, Cindy took in her nephews Adam and Randy which meant she had four teenage boys in her home. It was a busy home, but also one full of love.
Family was everything to Cindy. Her boys and grandchildren were the center of her world, but she extended her heart to include her daughter in laws, nieces, nephews and extended family. Cindy had many long term friendships and will be missed by many.
“She flew up to heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waitin’
And I know she’s smilin’ sayin’, don’t worry ‘bout me”
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waitin’
And I know she’s smilin’ sayin’, don’t worry ‘bout me”
We love you Mom.
