Cheryl Haines Ishida

It is with heavy hearts that we announce on December 31, 2022, the passing of Cheryl Haines Ishida (75).
Survived by her loving husband Mark, Daughter Rebecca (Karl), Sisters Adele, and Bonita, Brother Brad. Granddaughters Rowyn, Sophia, and Daryl. Predeceased by Father John (Rusty), and Mother Christina. She was known for her quick wit, sense of humor, compassion, and quiet generosity.
Cheryl was a dental assistant for well over 35 years. Her empathy, kindness, and love of her job were recognized by all, when she realized her current patients were the great-grandchildren of earlier ones, she said “well maybe I should retire.”
In 1997 she was reunited with her high school sweetheart, and first great-love, Mark Ishida. They found each other again after 37 years. Shortly after she became “Nana” a precious name she would cherish forever, making Cheryl’s last 26 years the most loved she ever had.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Moa Sugimoto for providing Cheryl with exceptional heart-felt care.
A celebration of life will be held later on in the year.
