August 22, 1938 – May18, 2022
It is with our heartfelt sadness to announce the passing of our beloved mom, Bernyce Karen Boone of Vernon, BC at the age of 83 on May 18, 2022 with family by her side.
Mom, also known as Nana, dedicated her life to her children and family. Nothing was more important than family and she was the best Mom anyone could have ever had. During her early years, she was a psychiatric nurse and bank teller. Throughout the years she was our pillar of strength, who ensured she provided her children and grandchildren with the important moral foundations of strength, honesty, hard work, kindness and most of all the importance of love and did so unconditionally.
Bernyce was one of 7 children, predeceased by her mother Amy and father Barnhart, brothers Jerry, Denny and Barry and sister, Carol, leaving behind her brother George and sister, Jean (Les). Bernyce is survived by her children, who made up the entirety of her world. Daughters Janine (Dave), Kerri-Lynn (Terry) her 4 grandchildren Jordan (Olivia), Amy (Rob), Celina (Sebastian), Curtis (Kaileen) and her 3 great grandchildren Brooklyn, Emilie and baby Huppee
Our mom had many life-long friends who she built strong ties to. One of her most important relationships was to her sister Jean. They were not just sisters, but best friends. We would like to thank Jean for always being there for our mom and all the love and support you gave her over the last few years as she battled cancer.
Every day you will be dearly missed and will be with us forever in our hearts.
