It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bernice Durocher, known as Vicki, mama and nana. She peacefully passed in Kelowna hospital with her sons, daughter and close family and friends by her side. Vicki was a strong willed, silly, adventurous, creative, loving and beautiful soul. She spent some of her last days painting, scootering around town, going to markets in Polson park, enjoying Kin beach, as well as joining friends and family at Karaoke. No matter where or what Vicki was doing it was always with the thought of bringing others happiness and joy.
Vicki was born in Victoria, BC, growing up on the coast and settling in Vernon BC. Vicki is survived by her children Corey, Brad, Ryan and Adam. Grandchildren Kiarrah, Raijana, Aaliyah, Kelsey, Landon and Darius. Her siblings Marlene, Mabel, Beverley, and more, along with unamed nieces, nephews, step-children, cousins, and close friends who have been family along her journey with her. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary Jane, her husband Ron and her brother Russell.
Vicki had touched the lives of countless members within the community and fellowship.
You will be forever missed and with us all in spirit. A memorial service will be held at Vernon Alano Club on Saturday, January 21 @ 1pm -4pm.
