We are so sad to announce the passing of our daughter, Annika, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday morning, August 24th. Annika gave us so much love and laughter in her 35 years. She was a teacher to everyone who knew her. In her own way, she communicated a joy of life, reminding us to slow down to enjoy every moment and to persevere through all that life brings.
She greeted us every morning with a beautiful smile, so happy to start the day. Her smile and laughter were infectious and when she laughed everyone had to stop what they were doing to join in the fun.
Annika is survived by her mother Colleen Larson, step-father Harry James, father Ary Bovenkerk, aunties and uncles Carolyn & Bob Hazzard, Don Larson, Pat & Brenda Bell, Beverley & Ron Eggen, Richard and Robyn Lapp, Helen Lapp, Daniel Lapp, and many cousins, Jay, Brody, Donna, Dianna, Doug, Lyle, Ben, Heather Anna, Jordan, Luke, Margaret, Mary Belle, Soley, Waylon and great cousins, as well as many family friends, especially Jack and Grace. We would like to thank Dr. Screen for his many years of support and all of the caregivers who loved Annika as one of their own.
Celebration of Annika’s life will take place on Saturday, August 29th 2:00 pm at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. Due to COVID, attendance is by invitation and streamed on Facebook through Pleasant Valley Funeral Home Facebook Account.
