Anita Rose Marie Ponton (nee Carlson) quietly passed away at age 88, on September 15, 2023 following a stroke.

Anita was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on June 15, 1935. She grew up with her beloved sisters Darlene, and Clareen, and her parents Amy and Waldemar Carlson in Delburne, Alberta. Anita and Roger Gordon Ponton were married on August 14, 1953 and raised a family of three children, Craig, Karen and Curtis in Calgary, Alberta. Married for more than 65 years, Anita and Roger enjoyed travelling and trips to cabin on the Bow River. For Anita, family always came first.

Anita will be greatly missed by her sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
