Alexandra Sandra (Muchowski) Yurko nee Picul

August 4, 1935 – July 5, 2022

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our amazing Mom. She is survived by her children Brenda, Ricky (Laurie), grandson Jason (Nikita) and great grandson Maxton, together with many nieces and nephews.

Sandra’s entire working career was in the health care industry. She moved from her childhood home in Armstrong to live in residence and work at Delview Hospital (Polson Extended Care) as a Care Aide for 40+ years.

Mom enjoyed spending time with her grandson over the years and was always ready for a movie or a walk in the park to visit the ducks. She was Jason’s number one sports fan. Sandra was also over the moon with the arrival of her great grandson, Maxton and loved his beautiful blue eyes.

The family would like to thank Dr. Waldron, Dr. Butters and Dr. Yu for their kindness and care over the years and also to the wonderful caring staff at The Hamlets at Vernon. There will be no service at this time so please light a candle for Sandra and reflect on your time spent together.

Mom, we will miss your amazing sense of humour and the purity of your laughter.
