With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Alec Michael Downward. Alec was born on December 1st 1970 in Worcester, England and passed away on February 24th 2022 in Vernon, BC.
Alec’s memory will live on as a kind hearted and generous individual who cared deeply for those around him. He was always willing to help someone in need and offer care and support to those who needed it. He had a great sense of humour and loved to make those around him laugh. He was an avid musician playing the guitar, bass and mandolin, had a passion for baking amazing food and had a love for reading and watching English fiction.
Alec will be greatly missed by Cheryl, his wife and soulmate of 29 years,
his daughter Hayley (Tim), his son Aidan (Sarah), his parents Derrick and Sheila, his siblings Stuart, Matthew (Goshia), Robin and Laura (Richard) along with his extended family including in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held for Alec on Saturday April 2nd, 2pm at Vernon Christian Fellowship, 4506 29th Street, Vernon.
Alec will forever be loved and remembered by his family.
